Light Grey Herdwick Top

Light Grey Herdwick Top

The Herdwick is a breed of domestic sheep native to the Lake District in North West England. You can recognise a Herdwick as they all have a white face and white legs and their coat changes colour from black as a baby lamb to blue-grey as they get older.

The Herdwick breed produces a range of greys from light to dark. The wool has a coarse quality and is hard wearing.

Colours may vary slightly from batch to batch due to the nature of natural fibre.

Approx 40 microns and a length of 85-90mm.

Can be used for spinning, needle felting and wet felting.
