In this relaxing seasonal workshop, you will be shown how to shape, layer and blend beautiful autumnal colours to create a decorative wreath filled with handmade felted details. Inspired by the rich shades and natural textures of the season, it is a lovely way to slow down, get creative and make something special for your home.

This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those who have tried needle felting before. You will be guided step by step in a friendly, relaxed setting, with plenty of time to ask questions and enjoy the process.

Join us for a calming and creative half-day wet felting workshop, where you’ll explore the traditional art of felting by hand. Using soft layers of natural wool fibres, warm water, and gentle soap, you’ll learn how to transform loose fibres into a beautiful piece of felted fabric. Through blending colours and experimenting with textures, you’ll create your own unique design filled with depth and character.

Create a cheerful winter robin using wool, a felting needle and a wooden embroidery hoop in this relaxed needle felting workshop.

You will learn how to lay out your design, gradually shape the robin and branches, blend different shades of wool and add the finer details that bring your picture to life. The finished piece will be framed neatly inside its hoop, ready to hang and enjoy.

No previous needle felting experience is needed. Jane will demonstrate each stage and guide you through the project at an easy pace, making this a welcoming workshop for complete beginners and experienced felters alike.

Everything required to make your robin picture will be provided, including the wool, tools and embroidery hoop, with refreshments available throughout the session. At the end of the workshop, you will take home a charming handmade decoration that is perfect for displaying during winter or giving as a thoughtful gift.

Spend an enjoyable day creating a characterful Christmas hare, complete with wonderfully long ears, a soft grey coat and a bright red winter scarf.

​

During the workshop, you will learn how to build a firm wool shape, form the hare’s body and limbs, attach its ears and gradually add layers of coloured wool to create its markings and personality. You will also be shown how to add the smaller details, including its face, paws and cosy felted scarf.

​

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and anyone who has enjoyed needle felting before. Jane will guide you through every stage in a friendly and relaxed setting, giving you plenty of support while still allowing each hare to develop its own individual character.

​

All of the wool, materials and tools needed for the day will be provided, along with refreshments. You will leave with your own freestanding Christmas hare, handmade by you and ready to bring a little festive charm to your home each winter.
