Saturday 25th April - Wet Felting

A Lovely Morning of Wet Felting

Today, we welcomed eight lovely ladies to the Feather Felts workshop in Hunmanby for a cheerful morning of wet felting. It was one of those relaxed, happy workshop days where everyone settled in quickly, sleeves were rolled up, and the table was soon full of wool, colour, texture, and plenty of creativity.

Colour, Texture and Plenty of Wool

Wet felting is such a satisfying craft, and it was lovely to see everyone getting stuck in and enjoying the process. There is something quite special about starting with soft wool fibres and gradually working them into a finished felted piece by hand. Each person chose their own colours and layout, so although everyone was learning the same traditional technique, every creation had its own character.

A Warm and Creative Workshop

The atmosphere throughout the morning was friendly, calm, and full of encouragement. There was lots of chatting, plenty of concentration, and that lovely moment when everyone begins to see their work taking shape. It is always a joy to watch people discover how much can be made with wool, water, soap, and a little patience.

Thank You for Coming

A big thank you to all eight ladies who joined us for the workshop. It was a really enjoyable morning, and we loved seeing all the finished wet felted pieces at the end. I will include some photographs from the day below, so you can see a little glimpse of what everyone made and the lovely creative morning we shared.
