Gathering for Wet Felting in Hunmanby
On Sunday 10th August, four ladies joined me for a wet felting workshop at Feather Felts. The group settled in well, taking their time to explore the process of turning wool fibres into felt pictures. It was a relaxed afternoon, with everyone focused on their work and enjoying the simple, hands-on craft.
Inspired by Yorkshire’s Landscape
The quiet charm of North Yorkshire wasn’t far from the minds of those crafting that day. The colours and shapes of the local countryside, from the moors to the coast, gently influenced the designs. It’s always good to see how the surroundings lend a subtle character to each piece.
Celebrating the Art of Making
By the end of the workshop, all four had finished their wet felt pictures and left with something to be proud of. These workshops offer a chance to step back from the rush of modern life and embrace a traditional craft. Looking forward to welcoming more people to Feather Felts soon.
