A Saturday Full of Pumpkins

Saturday 10th October was our Autumn Wreath workshop here in Hunmanby, and what a lovely morning we had! It was really nice to welcome a mixture of familiar faces and some new ones around the table, all ready to have a go at making their own pumpkin wreaths. Such a fun and satisfying workshop, especially at this time of year.

Inspired by the Colours of Autumn

I absolutely love the colours of autumn, particularly when the leaves on the trees begin to change. There are so many beautiful shades at this time of year, and we brought plenty of them into our pumpkins! Gorgeous reds, oranges, yellows and even a few purples made for a lovely colourful collection, with each wreath taking on its own character.

A Little Wet Felting Too!

The day before the workshop, I'd been busy making a sheet of wet felt in all those luscious autumn colours. We used this to decorate our wreaths, cutting out little leaf shapes and pumpkin tops to add those finishing touches. It was lovely to bring a bit of wet felting into the workshop too, and the colours worked so well alongside the pumpkins.

A Lovely End to the Morning

There's something very satisfying about seeing everything come together, and the finished wreaths looked wonderful! A big thank you to all the ladies who came along and spent their Saturday morning making with me. It was such an enjoyable workshop and a lovely way to celebrate this beautiful season. I've added some more photographs from the day below so you can have a look at what we got up to!
