A Thoughtful Afternoon of Wet Felting in Yorkshire
On Thursday 7th August, four ladies gathered at Feather Felts for a wet felting workshop. The session was a chance to take time away from the usual hustle and enjoy some hands-on creativity. Each participant worked steadily on their wet felt pictures, bringing their own style and ideas to the process. It was a quiet pleasure to see how the wool transformed under their hands.
A Nod to Yorkshire’s Natural Beauty
The inspiration for the workshop came from the subtle charm of the Yorkshire countryside, reflected in the colours and textures chosen. From the gentle greens of the moorlands to the soft greys of the stone walls, the finished pieces carried a calm and steady sense of place. No grand gestures, just the honest, everyday beauty that Yorkshire offers.
Crafting Memories Together
By the end of the afternoon, the group had produced some solid work and, more importantly, shared a good few hours in company. It’s not just about the finished felt pictures, but the time spent creating something with your own hands and in the company of others who appreciate it. A proper Yorkshire way to spend a Thursday.
