A Relaxing Day of Wet Felting
On Saturday 24th May, I welcomed four lovely ladies to my home workshop for a day of wet felting. We spent the day gently layering wool, adding water and soap, and working the fibres into picture form. It’s always a calming, hands-on process – and one that encourages everyone to slow down and simply enjoy the making.
Inspired by Yorkshire Views
As always, the Yorkshire countryside played its part in inspiring the group. Whether it was rolling hills, seaside colours or garden flowers, each person found their own way to bring a bit of local charm into their finished piece. There’s something grounding about taking in the surroundings and turning that into felt – it connects you with place in a quiet, satisfying way.
A Lovely Way to Spend a Day
By the end of the session, each of the ladies had created a finished wet felt picture to take home, along with a bit of pride in trying something different. We shared cups of tea, a few laughs, and plenty of wool. It was a peaceful and productive day in good company – a real treat.
