A Welcoming November Workshop
On Saturday 15th November, seven ladies joined me in the studio for our Robin in a Wreath needle felting workshop. November in Yorkshire brings a gentle shift in pace, with cooler days and quieter moments, and it set the tone for a relaxed and steady session together.
Shaping the Robin and Wreath
The robin felt right at home as our theme for the day. Working with natural wool fibres in soft reds, browns, and creams, everyone built their robin gradually before bringing the wreath to life with simple autumn touches. It was lovely to watch each person’s piece take shape in its own way, and to see confidence grow as the layers came together.
A Day of Easy Company
There was a good balance of focus and conversation throughout the workshop. The group shared ideas, compared progress, and helped each other along whenever someone needed a second pair of eyes. With plenty of tea and a calm pace, the atmosphere stayed warm and comfortable from start to finish. By the end of the afternoon, seven finished wreaths were ready to go home and be proudly displayed.
A Look Back at the Day
You’ll find a gallery below with photos from the workshop, including moments from the early shaping stages right through to the completed wreaths. It was a genuinely pleasant November day in the studio, and I’m grateful to everyone who joined me and made it such a friendly session.
