A Creative Saturday in May
On Saturday 17th May, four lovely ladies joined me in Hunmanby for a relaxed and focused 2D Picture needle felting workshop. With wool at the ready and a few cuppas to hand, we spent the day turning soft fibres into framed felt pictures. Everyone brought their own take on the theme, with designs ranging from simple florals to scenic landscapes—each one completely unique.
A Yorkshire Backdrop
As always, the quiet charm of the Yorkshire coast played its part. The garden was in bloom, and with the sun peeking through the clouds now and again, we were reminded how much the local countryside can inspire creativity. A couple of the finished pictures even included dry stone walls and rolling hills—not planned, just naturally part of the day.
A Job Well Done
By the end of the workshop, each picture was neatly framed and ready to hang at home. It’s always rewarding to see that moment when someone steps back and realises what they’ve made. Hopefully the day was just the right mix of peaceful and productive, and I look forward to welcoming more friendly faces to future sessions.
